still having leg issues
friday was a 25oom/45min swim. mainset had 2x500m on :30 rest. was sore from swim day b4 but splits still were strong at 7:15 and 7:09.
yesterday was a recovery ride on trainer for 60min to loosen up the legs. focused on 1leg drills and 12x1min high cadence/small ring to get legs pumping. followd trainer ride up with 45min full stength exercises. glutes were not happy with the workout!!!
today was suppose to be a swim/run/bike workout. swim didnt happen due to poor water quality at barton springs. the pool was closed so jamie and i waited for the sun to warmup the sky b4 we biked. we did the 30mile bee caves loop. total time was 1:40 but after a getting out of the park and a few stops (jamie falling over at a light - LOL) we actually rode about 1:30. once we hit sw pkwy we hit the gas until the end. i wanted to take the straights tough and ease up on the hills but that was out the window once we hit the fisrt hill. i was pleased with the effort and felt like we got a good race like ride in. after the bike i attempted a transition run but the leg was too tender so i called it quits after a few mins. the leg is still tender but no too bad. i will really need to consider if it is worth running over the next 2 weeks b4 AZ. we shall see - i would hate to say never and then be a liar : )
